הביקוש לאנרגיה עתיד לעלות משמעותית עם גידול האוכלוסייה מחד והתגברות המהפכה הדיגיטלית עתירת צריכת האנרגיה מאידך. במקביל קיימת התפתחות טכנולוגית אדירה בתחומי האנרגיה המתחדשת.
בתחום זה אנו מבקשים לענות על שאלות כגון כיצד מנהלים את משק האנרגיה העתידי, מהו הביקוש העתידי לאנרגיה, כיצד עונים על הביקוש העתידי וכיצד ממזערים לאורך זמן את העלויות וההשפעות הסביבתיות של שימוש באנרגיה.
פרופ' אשר טישלר הוא מומחה במנהל עסקים אשר שימש כדקאן הפקולטה לניהול בין השנים 2007-2014. פרופ טישלר משמש כמנהל האקדמי של מרכז אכימדס.
תחומי המחקר שלו כוללים כלכלת וניהול אנרגיה, כלכלת וניהול ביטחון, מחקר ופיתוח ושיטות מחקר. פרופ' טישלר פרסם יותר ממאה וארבעים מאמרים בכתבי־עת אקדמיים, כיהן בעבר ומכהן היום כחבר במספר פורומים בתחומי האנרגיה והביטחון, ושימש כיועץ לגופים שונים בישראל ובחו"ל, ביניהם צה"ל ומשרד הביטחון, משרד האוצר ומשרד האנרגיה והתשתיות, וכן בנקים וחברות בענפי התעשייה, השירותים וההיי־טק.

The demand for energy is expected to rise significantly with population growth on the one hand and the intensification of the energy-intensive digital revolution on the other. At the same time, there is tremendous technological development in renewable energy. In this area, we look to answer questions such as: How do we manage the future energy market; what is the future demand for energy; how do you meet future demand; how do you minimize the costs and environmental impacts of energy use over time.
Prof. Asher Tishler is an expert in business administration who served as the dean of the Faculty of Management between 2007-2014. Prof. Tishler serves as the academic director of the Archimedes Center. His research interests include energy economics and management, security economics and management, research and development, and research methods. Prof. Tishler published more than a hundred and forty articles in academic journals, served in the past and currently serves as a member of several forums in the fields of energy and security, and served as a consultant to various bodies in Israel and abroad, including the IDF and the Ministry of Defense, the Ministries of Finance and of Energy and Infrastructure, as well as banks and companies in the industrial sectors, The services and the high-tech.
