Rajhans is working in the field of environmental engineering. His current research aligns with the environmental and economic assessment of urban water systems. Rajhans is using life cycle assessment methods for evaluating environmentally sustainable, economically viable and socially acceptable wastewater reuse alternatives for sustainable urban water systems. During the post-graduation study, Rajhans carried out experimental studies on the impact of heavy metals in sequential batch reactors.
His research interests include water and wastewater treatment, wastewater reuse, sustainable urban water systems, life cycle assessment, life cycle costing and carbon accounting.
