מטרת המרכז היא לבנות קהילת חוקרים (אקדמית וחוץ אקדמית) שתפעל להתאמה ופיתוח של מודלים של מערכות מורכבות בעולם הקיימות המתאימים למציאות הישראלית. בהמשך לכך, מרכז ארכימדס מקיים שיתוף פעולה הדוק עם משרדי ממשלה בישראל דרך מחקר יישומי משותף ובאמצעות מתן סיוע לתהליכי קבלת החלטות. בנוסף, המרכז מציע מלגות מחקר, בנייה והרחבה של קבוצות מחקר, כנסים ועוד, במטרה ליצור שיתופי פעולה עם קבוצות רלוונטיות שונות. פעילות המרכז כוללת גם גיוס מענקי מחקר נרחבים, רלוונטיות באירופה ובמדינות החברות ב-IIASA. הצטרפו אלינו לקבל עדכונים על ההזדמנויות במרכז.

כנס ערים ומורכבות: לקראת הרבע השני של המאה ה-21 | 26.10.26 | תל אביב
קבוצת המחקר "ערים ומורכבות" במרכז ארכימדס מזמינה חוקרות וחוקרים להגיש תקצירים ולהירשם כמשתתפים ומשתתפות בכנס "ערים ומורכבות בראשית הרבע השני של המאה ה-21". הכנס מתקיים כחלק ממערך הכנסים Mind-IL - שבוע המדע והאקדמיה של ישראל
IIASA Interaction Festival - דיפלומטית מדע ובינה בקבלת החלטות
פרופ' איתי סנד, מנהל מרכז ארכימדס, השתתף בפאנל השני, "From Science to Policy: Pathways for Impact". הפסטיבל התקיים על מנת לדון בשאלה כיצד המדע יכול לתת מענה לאתגרים משמעותים המחייבים שיתוף פעולה בינלאומי.

The "Cities and Complexity" Research Group at the Archimedes Center invites researchers to submit abstracts and register for the conference Cities and Complexity at the Dawn of the Second Quarter of the 21st Century. The conference is part of Mind-IL – Israel's Science and Academia Week.
